fou

things have been crazy. it's a week away from christmas party and i'm still reeling from last week. exams are over and i'm back home.

the grades!!

FRENCH 3010 COMPOSITION: A
this is my first A in french since high school!! exciting, mostly because i made an 88 on the exam and that's pretty impressive in a language class.

ENGLISH 2810 BRITISH LITERATURE: A
her grading scale is 94+ is an A, so i was really exciting that i pulled an A in here... i was betting on a B!

GERMAN 2520 COUNTRY AND PEOPLE: B
ok, so this was the class from hell and i hated every second of it and really i'm lucky i didn't get a C

ENGLISH 3000 METHODS AND RESEARCH: --
jury's still out on this one, it'll probably be a B or a C. the class sucked, i hated it, i hated the teacher, she was ugly.

ENGLISH 4521/5521 HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE: A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this was the BIG NEWS... this class is a super hard class, the prof is known to be rough, half the class dropped after the first test, and i, a mere sophomore, got an A in it! the final paper was 40% of our grade, and prior to that i had a B average, so i know i blew that paper out of the WATER. 12 pages of linguistic change, baby!!! if you're ever interested in what i think will happen should we colonize the moon, mars, have earth wiped out by hyena flu, and have all reunited in a bloddy coup by a lunar woman... ask me. or if you're interested in my version of a hispanic-turkish pidgin language and the effect it would have on english should the hispanic-turkish population become the ruling class in an isolated society... again, i'm the gal for you. regardless, it was AMAZING to see that A!!

ready for break! i've got to clear my skin up (i always break out when stressed, and my GOSH was i stressed!), exercise, get rehydrated, and ready for NEW YEARS IN COOKEVILLE! hopefully, a certain someone will be there, as we've already discussed the possibility of a new years kiss for us. we'll see. i don't know if he knows the symbolism behind it. i don't know if he'll actually come. again... we'll see. meanwhile, shopping, sleeping, familying, reading, soaking, enjoying!! birmingham, at last! for a while at least.

love
lindsey.

Sunday blew my mind, if no one else's. That may be the fact that it started at 12:30.

Regardless, congratulations on the grades, since you wouldn't accept them in person, and send me pictures.

Hugs etc.
