i love my life. things are wonderful. i've got awesome friends, a great job, a wonderful family that i don't get to see enough of but then again maybe it's better that way, a spectacular roommate... this could very well be the best summer EVER.
last summer will be hard to beat, but i think this one will do it.
today was an absolutely crazy day at work... mother's day. we were open from 10:30-3:00 (supposedly, although we took people at 3:45 and it really pissed me off). we served over 520 people between the hours of 11 and 2. and had more people coming in after that. that's just when we quit keeping up. now, nick's is a large restaurant, but a busy night is about 250 or so (for a non-holiday night). it was insane. the other host, joel, hurt his knee the other day, so he "took names" and i took people to tables. but joel is ADD and so he kept wandering off all the time, so for about an hour there (the busiest hour we had) i was doing EVERYTHING. it sort of more than sucked. to top it all off, i stupidly wore my 3 inch stilettos. my feet are still cramping up and i think i rubbed them raw. it kills.
so i got all my grades back...

stupid.
the apartment is AWESOME. i'm so broke though. i think my boss can't afford to work me and the other host enough, so i'm going to ask her if i can serve sometimes or something. we'll see. i love hosting, and during the slower summer months it's probably better money, but i just need more shifts.
so i'm super sleepy... so i think i'm going to head to bed kiddos.
love
lindsey.
